• Supporting Brokerage Operations by vetting carriers via RMIS and approving them in Mastermind
• Supporting Dedicated Operations by tending contracted carriers for backhaul and power only loads, track/trace
• Supporting Procurement team with TL RFPs using procurement software tool and assist with back office support tasks such as developing transportation provider pricing schedules
• Update and maintain weekly metrics

Job description

This summer internship is full-time (40 hours/week) and offers a hybrid work schedule with mix of on-site and remote work!

The purpose of the internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a career in supply chain, transportation, accounting, human resources, IT, or applicable division. Interns may be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the transportation business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.

Logistics Support Intern - Majority of the daily tasks include:

1) Supporting Brokerage Operations by vetting carriers via our compliance system (RMIS) and approving them in the brokerage operations system (Mastermind).

2) Supporting Dedicated Operations by tending contracted carriers for backhaul and power only loads, track/trace

3) Supporting Procurement team with TL RFPs using a procurement software tool and assist with the back office support tasks such as developing transportation provider pricing schedules.

4) Update and maintain weekly metrics

Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide day-to-day support for Dedicated Operations 50%

  • Supporting Brokerage Operations with carrier compliance and on-boarding 15%

  • Duties may include assisting in the preparation of reports 15%

  • Participate in truckload RFP process 10%

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required 10%
