logistics & import compliance supervisor
Responsibilities
Logistics and Custom Clearance
- Take end to end ownership for import of raw materials and production equipment, covering overseas shipment initiation, international freight, US customs clearance, inspection response and US inland transportation with hands‑on US local customs operation capability.
- Handle hands on US customs operations including import filing, inspection handling, HS classification review, and cooperate with customs audits
- Support calculation of duties and import taxes for imported equipment and raw materials, be familiar with US import tax regulations and support relevant import tax liaison work.
- Ensure efficient, compliant customs release and on?time delivery to plant site.
Receiving, Shipping & Logistics Coordination
- Receive and inspect materials for quantity and condition.
- Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production.
- Maintain documentation for shipments and deliveries.
- Support international or domestic logistics when needed.
Logistics Suppliers Coordination
- Liaise and manage freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Track in transit cargo status, proactively identify shipment delays and clearance exceptions, and drive issue resolution.
- Manage performance of logistics service providers to drive service improvement and cost optimization.
Communication & Cross-Functional Work
- Align with material control, procurement, warehouse and production teams on arrival schedule for imported materials and equipment.
- Proactively communicate with freight forwarders and custom brokers to prevent delays.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Qualifications
- Must have handson US local customs clearance practical experience, familiar with US import filing, inspection response, HS classification and customs audit procedures.
- Solid international logistics experience covering ocean and air import.
- Excellent cross functional and external vendor communication & coordination skills, strong problem solving capability to handle urgent logistics and customs emergencies.
- Experience in import of chemical raw materials and industrial production equipment is preferred
