Job summary

The Pasha Group in Tacoma, WA seeks a Freight Coordinator to support cargo movement through transloading operations. You will handle documentation, communicate with customers and operations, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely processing of work orders.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse, data entry, or logistics experience and a high school diploma. Proficiency in Excel and strong communication are essential. Starting pay ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year warehouse, data entry, customer service, or related experience.
• Knowledge of freight transportation and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Enter and prepare work orders in proprietary systems with complete and accurate instructions for dispatch, operations, and vendors.
• Coordinate cargo movement based on export bookings and import documentation, including container release, rail moves, and terminal returns.
• Print and distribute required paperwork to operations prior to cargo arrival and relay upcoming volumes to dispatch and management.
• Provide timely updates to customers throughout the transloading process and send final documents by required cut-off times, including all necessary information to support documentation and Customs compliance.
• Update account records, customer databases, and inventory logs.
• Respond to delays or issues affecting work order completion, including equipment, booking, or carrier problems and take immediate action to resolve customer complaints or operational disruptions.
• Notify customers of cargo issues such as damages or shortages and request handling instructions.
• Communicate professionally via email and phone to provide accurate and current information.
• Prepare billing for completed work orders, applying correct tariff or contractual rates, and assist with invoice corrections.
• Coordinate inspections with government entities when required or requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
