Kroger Romulus is seeking an experienced Truck Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily shop activities, ensure reliable fleet operations, and uphold Kroger's standards for safety and quality.

You will schedule maintenance, manage mechanics, coordinate fleet availability, and report on repair needs while mentoring staff and controlling parts inventory. This on-site role requires CDL and a background in diesel mechanics.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5+ years in diesel mechanics/technology with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Valid CDL required and ability to operate diesel shop equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of truck maintenance. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Coordinate fleet availability
• Schedule maintenance
• Produce mechanics' schedule
• Develop and upgrade fleet information system
• Obtain permits and licenses; maintain records of permits and licenses
• Maintain inventory of repair parts and equipment; requisition replacement stock
• Purchase parts for maintenance department
• Prepare fuel inventory and reports
• Prepare repair reports and vehicle requests
• Review life cycle costing reports
• Maintain and evaluate tires
• Recommend capital purchase of new equipment
• Select vendors
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
• Travel to offsite locations to support business needs
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience in diesel mechanics/technology, and two years management experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment associated with a diesel engine shop, trucks, tractors, trailers
• Valid commercial driver's license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain confidentiality
• Accuracy/attention to detail
• Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
• Familiarity with truck maintenance terms and processes
• Ability to continue education
