Job summary

Averitt Express is seeking an Operations Intern (Part-Time) to gain hands-on experience in shipping logistics and the broader supply chain. You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams, learn how goods move across the country, and apply concepts from transportation and logistics courses.

The 10-week program includes a capstone project, mentorship from seasoned leaders, and up to 29 hours per week at an $18/hour rate, designed to build real-world skills while balancing academics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or similar.
• Sophomore year or above preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Dive into operations and learn how shipments move.
• Collaborate with teams to understand logistics and customer service workflows.
• Complete a capstone project to showcase learnings at the end of the internship.
