Job summary

Fermi Inc in Houston is seeking an entry-level Logistics I / Expeditor within the Procurement & Supply Chain organization to track purchase order status and proactively expedite deliveries critical to the Project Matador construction schedule.

You will work with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders to confirm acknowledgments, monitor milestones, and keep leadership informed of at-risk deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience tracking purchase orders and expediting critical-path deliveries.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Familiarity with project scheduling interfaces (Primavera P6, Unifier CBS) beneficial.
• Proficiency with procurement documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open purchase orders and blanket releases across vendors, tracking acknowledgement, status, and milestones.
• Proactively expedite critical-path orders and escalate delays to the Director of Procurement.
• Maintain expediting log with current delivery dates, revised commitments, and root causes.
• Cross-reference PO delivery dates against project schedule to flag material risks to milestones.
• Document vendor communications and status updates in Aconex for auditable records.
• Prepare periodic expediting status reports for the Director of Procurement.
• Support vendor performance reporting and milestone billing with delivery confirmations.
• Assist with PO data entry and maintenance of vendor directories.
