Job summary

Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX, is seeking a Logistics Exceptions Clerk to monitor shipments and resolve issues through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL.

You will work with our Logistics, Shipping, Customer Service and leadership teams to identify late, lost, damaged, or misbilled shipments and follow each issue through to resolution. This seasonal role may join the year-round team as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shipments and identify orders that are late, lost, delayed, damaged, or off track.
• Catch problems early and communicate with warehouse, Customer Service, and carriers to resolve them.
• Track carrier performance including on‑time shipment and delivery rates.
• Investigate delivery exceptions such as carrier delays, address problems, weather, and misrouted packages.
• File and manage carrier claims for lost packages, damages, late deliveries, overcharges, and other eligible issues.
• Follow claims through to reimbursement and maintain an accurate claims tracker.
• Review carrier invoices and identify duplicate charges, billing errors, or unauthorized fees.
• Prepare simple reports and KPIs to help leadership understand shipping performance and recurring problems.
• Own your exceptions and follow through until each issue is resolved.

Location: Collin Street Offices/some warehouse.

Pay: $12–$15/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: M-F office hours, nights and weekend potential closer to Holiday rush.

Status: Seasonal, with potential to join our year-round team as opportunities become available

We are looking for a Logistics Exceptions Clerk to help us make sure every package gets where it is supposed to go—and quickly solve problems when it doesn't.

The Job

Each day, we ship thousands of packages through carriers including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL.

Your job is simple: monitor shipments, identify problems, and help get them resolved.

You will work closely with our Logistics, Shipping, Customer Service, and leadership teams to identify late, lost, damaged, or incorrectly billed shipments and follow each issue through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor shipments and identify orders that are late, lost, delayed, damaged, or otherwise off track.
• Catch problems early and communicate with our warehouse, Customer Service team, and carriers to resolve them.
• Track carrier performance including on‑time shipment and delivery rates.
• Investigate delivery exceptions such as carrier delays, address problems, weather, and misrouted packages.

You will be trained to work primarily in:

• Shopify — orders and customer shipment information
• NetSuite — fulfillment and financial records
• Microsoft 365 — especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Carrier systems — FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, and others

Schedule

This is primarily a Monday–Friday office/warehouse position in Corsicana.

Because our busiest season is the holidays, some nights or weekends may occasionally be required during peak periods, particularly around Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the weeks leading up to Christmas.

• On‑time shipment and delivery
• Number of unresolved shipping exceptions
• Speed of resolving delivery problems
• Carrier claims filed and dollars recovered
• Billing errors identified and recovered
• Accuracy, organization, and follow-through

Bottom line: We need someone who will watch our shipments closely, catch problems quickly, and own them until they are solved.
