Job summary

TJX Companies is seeking an Engineering Project Manager in Marlborough, MA to lead the design, procurement and construction of material handling systems for our distribution centers serving TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra and more. You will coordinate design, vendor sourcing, budgeting and startup activities, while mentoring junior engineers.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 6+ years of PM/engineering experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and the ability to travel 40–60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical).
• 6+ years of Engineering & Project Management experience.
• Experience with material handling systems.
• Distribution Center/Retail experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Design.
• Understanding of work methods analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design material handling equipment using AutoCAD and lead project installation.
• Coordinate all aspects of each project—from inception through startup (design, sourcing, finance, schedule).
• Work with DC partners to address operational concerns and improve efficiency.
• Develop short- and long-term capital strategy to support DC growth.
• Travel 40%-60% as required.
