Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Driver I at its Newington, New Hampshire site. The role involves documenting, loading, unloading, delivering, and driving between SIG SAUER locations and off-site suppliers, under supervision of Trainers and Supervisors.

3–5 years of prior driving experience is required, with responsibilities spanning cargo handling, regulatory compliance, and accurate record-keeping. The position supports 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3-5 years of previous experience as a Driver.
• Ammo Division: 3-5 years of previous experience driving a tractor trailer.
• Ability to pass a DOT driver's physical and PIT licensing; possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product for delivery ensuring product is not damaged.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle and vehicle records in accordance with company standards.
• Assist in the cleanliness of the work area and general duties when not driving.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly fueled and ready to go for all shifts and ensure material is delivered to correct location at correct time.
• Verify and keep organized records of internal shipments via a documented truck log.
• Prepare items for shipment by verifying labels to ensure correct delivery to location.
• Wrap and bind containers using pallet wrapping machine and strapping equipment.
• Ensure truck weight is evenly balanced, product is properly secured, and within regulation.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
• Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
• Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
