Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Distribution Coordinator to manage receiving and shipping counter operations in a busy Illinois distribution center. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, document control, and close coordination with carriers, internal teams, and warehouse staff to ensure timely, compliant shipping and receiving processes.
The position supports daily dock operations, maintains critical records, and drives smooth inventory and order flow across the facility, with strong emphasis on SAP
Qualifications
- Strong data entry and document control skills are required.
- Experience with shipping/receiving in a distribution center is preferred.
- Ability to use WMS and ERP systems for inventory and distribution tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage driver check-in logs and BOL documentation.
- Coordinate inbound/outbound shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assign dock doors to optimize flow and reduce congestion.
- Perform data entry for shipping/receiving transactions in ERP/WMS.
- Review documents for accuracy and obtain required signatures.
- Maintain filing systems and ensure retention policies are followed.
- Communicate with CSRs on order changes and discrepancies.
- Track shipments in WMS (e.g., SAP, Red Prairie) and generate reports.
- Support production scheduling alignment with distribution activities.
- Train on and use ERP system for distribution/inventory processes.
