Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, or dock operations.
• Ability to manage multiple trucks, priorities and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication with drivers, warehouse staff and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Check drivers in/out, verifying load details, appointments, and required documentation.
• Coordinate daily dock activity in a fast-paced environment handling a variety of freight including full truckloads and LTL shipments.
• Assign and prioritize tasks for shipping and receiving staff in alignment with the Warehouse Manager's daily staffing plan.
• Monitor dock flow throughout the shift and adjust work assignments to maintain efficiency and minimize delays.
• Collaborate with receiving and production teams to plan inbound product placement and manage dock availability.
• Communicate regularly with the Supply Chain team regarding order status, dock scheduling, and truck arrivals/departures.
• Ensure accurate processing and filing of shipping and receiving paperwork according to company standards.
• Track and update shipment status to maintain visibility of inbound and outbound loads.
• Address issues such as schedule changes, documentation discrepancies, or carrier delays in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements for Dock Coordinator

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, or dock operations preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple trucks, priorities, and tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal departments
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate tasks, and maintain efficient dock flow
• Experience handling shipping and receiving documentation with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems, shipping software, or ERP systems preferred
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and adjust to schedule changes, freight delays, or operational challenges
• Ability to work on your feet in a warehouse environment and frequently lift up to 20 lbs
