Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of local truck dispatching experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven customer support experience and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional manners.
• Strong phone handling and active listening.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proficient in common office software.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and drivers through open communication.
• Take incoming orders and questions about pickups and deliveries by phone and email.
• Develop and manage pickup and delivery routes efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Negotiate delivery methods and rates with brokers to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare carrier documents and provide drivers with needed pickup/delivery information.
• Coordinate pickup/delivery appointments with destination sites.
• Monitor drivers throughout routes and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with management to modify routes as needed.
• Enter loads into Transportation Management System and file paperwork.
• Handle customer issues with timely solutions and follow-up.
• Provide customers with updates, including scanned paperwork.
• Monitor truck maintenance and repair schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
