Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Dispatcher in Canton, MA to coordinate orders, shipments, and driver activities. You will log orders, dispatch runs on schedule, maintain equipment inventories, and communicate with customers to expedite deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Logs all orders booked and all work performed on dispatch sheet.
• Dispatches all runs to ensure deliveries are on schedule.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of equipment.
• Directs activities of drivers via two-way radio.
• Tracks in-transit shipments.
