Job summary

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking a Dispatch/Logistics Technician (Application Tech 2) to coordinate daily waste collection routes and support field operations in Nashville. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent plus six years of experience in dispatching, routing, or operational coordination.
Additional education in supply chain management, field service coordination, logistics or transportation coordination may be considered in lieu of experience (1:1 Ratio).
Experience with logistics software systems, processes, and reporting functions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily Waste Collection routes using routing software and assign to drivers/vehicles.
Communicate with drivers and operations staff to update on field issues and provide support.
Monitor daily vehicle inspections and use GPS/telematics to track progress.
Collect data and generate statistical and operational reports from software tools.
Receive and prioritize service requests and ensure timely dispatch of personnel and equipment.
Participate in meetings and workshops; stay updated on tech improvements.
Possibly lead and train Application Technicians 1 and other support staff.
