Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. seeks a driver coordinator to assign work for company and owner-operator trailer drivers, coordinating freight and directing drivers by two-way radio.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and, due to the workload, Spanish fluency. Shift is Tuesday–Saturday 11:00am–8:00pm with a pay range of $27.00–$30.00 per hour, and a commitment to an equal opportunities workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) with minimal related experience/training.
• Spanish fluency required; ability to communicate with drivers and customers.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for driver coordination.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets and related paperwork to drivers.
• Troubleshoots and notifies parties of changes.
• Records departure times, destinations, cargo, and ETA.
• Investigates overdue vehicles and coordinates with customers to locate shipments.
• Directs driver activities by two-way radio.
• Communicates with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, or damaged merchandise.
