Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 1st shift Dispatcher in the Traffic department at our Temple, Texas manufacturing plant.

This role coordinates the assignment of over the road drivers, trailers and tractors with the shipping and transportation of products to ensure timely delivery using established policies and DOT regulations. The Dispatcher will communicate daily with the Traffic Manager, shipping clerks, warehouse employees, department managers and external customers to meet

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in manufacturing/transportation.
• Experience coordinating customer deliveries with production and transportation.
• Experience processing complex customer requirements with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to manage last-minute changes in orders and/or production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the assignment of drivers, trailers, tractors and carriers with shipping to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate daily with Traffic Manager, shipping clerks, warehouse staff, managers and customers to align schedules.
