Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers, vehicles, and shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.

Salary and Work Schedule

• Salary: $18 - $22 per hour
• Shift: First
• Work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

1. Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
2. Monitor transportation routes and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams.
3. Communicate effectively with drivers, vendors, and customers to provide updates, resolve issues, and manage expectations.
4. Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery times, delays, and transportation costs.
5. Use logistics software and GPS systems to optimize routing and tracking.
6. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
7. Handle emergency calls and service disruptions with quick and effective solutions.
8. Coordinate with warehouse staff to confirm product availability and shipment timing.
9. Prepare and submit required documentation such as bills of lading, manifests, and delivery confirmations.
