Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks a dispatch coordinator to schedule trucks and coordinate with internal teams to maximize efficiency. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving to ensure on-time delivery of materials across the Southern Division.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, 4–6 years’ related experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Occasional travel, night shifts, and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree a plus; or 4–6 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively with customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch trucks for conveyance of materials.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties for project utilization and efficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of market logistics: routes, lanes, backhauls and broker relationships.
• Communicate to solve transportation problems with project managers and customers.
• Review trucking bills and forward to billing for prompt payment.
