Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a transportation dispatcher to schedule and dispatch trucks for the conveyance of materials across Ohio. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating brokered trucks, maintaining routes and backhauls, reviewing invoices, and supporting sales during bids. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree a plus.
• 4–6 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules brokered trucks for internal and external projects, day and night shifts.
• Provides central communication link via email, phone, and dispatch systems.
• Maintains knowledge of routes, backhauls, and broker relationships for efficient material movement.
• Resolves transportation-related issues by coordinating with project managers, forepersons, and customers.
• Reviews trucking bills, forwards audited invoices to billing for prompt payment.
• Assists sales and estimating during bids by reviewing haul routes and delivery rates.
• Ensures broker safety standards and compliance; collaborates with Safety Department.
