Roadrunner is seeking a Dispatcher Assistant to keep our transportation operations efficient and compliant. You will coordinate between drivers, customers, dispatch staff, and maintenance providers to ensure freight moves on schedule with high service standards.

You will support daily dispatch tasks, respond to inquiries, and assist with vehicle maintenance and documentation. This role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily dispatch operations with planning and coordination.
• Coordinate communications between drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Respond to inquiries with timely updates and support.
• Assist with maintenance scheduling and vehicle issue coordination.
• Process approved expenditures and maintain financial records.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data integrity across systems.
