Job summary

Reitman Personnel is seeking a seasoned Domestic Logistics Manager in the New Haven area to lead the warehouse network, supervise a team, and optimize cross-border distribution to the US and Canada.

You will strengthen partnerships with 3PLs and transportation providers, analyze data to drive cost savings, and implement ISO-aligned processes while coaching your team for performance and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field, or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations, including supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience managing 3PL warehouse activities, transportation providers, and domestic distribution networks.
• Proven relationship-building and commercial acumen with external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of distribution, transportation, and shipping methods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and JD Edwards (or similar ERP system).
• Clear written and verbal communication across teams and partners.

• Interface with transportation service providers to optimize routing and carrier performance.
• Collaborate with internal leaders to support urgent requests and resolve issues.
• Track and report KPIs and contribute to logistics optimization.

Responsible for managing the domestic logistics operations, including the warehouse network, 3PL relationships, and supply chain activities across the US and Canada. This role drives operational efficiency, cost optimization, service excellence, and strong commercial partnerships to support business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of the Domestic Logistics team, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development.
• Oversee all 3PL warehouse activities, inventory transfers, and related material handling to ensure timely and accurate flow of product.
• Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with warehouse operators, 3PL partners, and transportation providers through regular engagement, site visits, travel, and business entertainment to drive commercial development and mutual value.
• Document, implement, monitor, and continuously improve domestic logistics processes and procedures, including partnership with warehouse service providers to maintain ISO-certified standards.
• Analyze warehouse and transportation data/reports to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and service improvements.
• Manage the domestic claims process and proactively mitigate railcar demurrage and other avoidable costs.
• Interface with transportation service providers to minimize delays, ensure adherence to transit standards, and optimize routing and carrier performance.
• Partner with internal leaders across departments to support urgent requests and resolve operational issues.
• Track and report on key performance indicators; contribute to broader logistics optimization and cost-saving initiatives
• Focus on ongoing feedback, coaching, and development of team members.
