Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a Logistics & Operations Specialist in San Diego, CA. You will manage daily logistics, carrier relationships, and optimization efforts across the supply chain to improve service, cost, and efficiency.

You will analyze performance, support budgeting, and collaborate with internal teams and external providers. A BA/BS or equivalent, plus 3+ years of logistics experience, are required. Hybrid work and a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, operations, supply chain, or related area.
• Demonstrated knowledge of logistics and transportation functions including carrier contracts, shipping processes, rules, and procedures.
• Ability to conduct business assessments and analyze data to identify issues and opportunities and to recommend solutions.
• Understanding of accounting and budgeting processes.
• Experience with WMS, TMS, and SAP or related enterprise systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day logistics and transportation activities, including carrier management, shipping processes, and issue resolution.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct business assessments and data analysis to identify issues and viable courses of action.
• Support carrier relationships and contracts, ensuring adherence to requirements and service expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, and external providers to improve service, cost, and efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking for logistics.
• Support implementation of process improvements across logistics operations.
• Prepare reports and presentations communicating findings to stakeholders.
