Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Logistics Finance & Operations Manager to act as a finance partner for logistics and supply chain.

You will lead financial planning, cost management, and reporting across transportation, warehousing, customs, and trade operations. Working with cross-functional teams, you will develop models and insights, drive cost savings, and present executive summaries to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, logistics, supply chain operations, or related discipline.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close, and operational analysis.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to influence decisions and effectively partner with multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, variance analysis, and monthly business reviews for logistics and supply chain operations.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and strategic analyses to support operational and business initiatives.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports, management summaries, and performance commentary for Finance and Operations leadership.
• Manage transportation, warehousing, customs, duty, insurance, and other logistics-related expenditures to ensure financial control and cost efficiency.
• Monitor freight spend, logistics vendor costs, and trade-related expenses while identifying savings and process improvement opportunities.
