Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Daventry is seeking a placement student to join the UK Logistics Centre Analytics team. You will develop Power BI reports, support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements in the logistics process.

You will study toward an Analysis/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning degree and gain hands-on experience with data tools, Excel, and Power BI, as well as exposure to SQL and project work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Analysis/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning degree.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel; Power BI knowledge is beneficial.
• Good communication and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI reporting capabilities and support continuous improvement using Lean, 5S and Six Sigma.
• Use common processes and information systems to analyze data and ensure report integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements and convert them into projects.
• Support and potentially lead projects to optimize operational efficiency.
• Analyze data to quantify benefits of improvement proposals, e.g., VSMs.
• Create and maintain digital tools to boost team efficiency and operator experience.
