Job summary

Cummins Inc in Daventry is seeking a Placement Student to join the UK Logistics Centre Analytics team during a year-long placement starting Summer 2027. You will learn how a major global organization operates and contribute to data-driven improvements in logistics processes.

You will develop Power BI reporting capabilities, apply Lean, 5S and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement efficiency projects while building digital tools for the team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Analysis/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning degree.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills with problem-solving mindset.
• SQL knowledge is a plus and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Development of Power BI reporting capabilities and Lean/5S/Six Sigma for continuous improvement.
• Use common processes and information systems to analyze data and ensure data integrity in reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements and translate into projects.
• Support and potentially lead projects that optimize operational efficiency.
• Use data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and quantify benefits.
• Design and maintain robust digital tools to increase team efficiency and operator experience.
