Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for Warehousing & Distribution in Irving, TX. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 1pm–10pm, handling daily customer orders, inventory, and related paperwork.

The position emphasizes accurate data entry, timely operational reporting, and effective liaison between warehouse and customers, with a focus on regulatory compliance and strong vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a professional demeanor.
• Positive and willing-to-help attitude.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, comprehension, and clear, concise communication.

Responsibilities

• Daily process and input of all customer orders and distribution accounts.
• Provide daily operational reports that are accurate and timely.
• Generate all related paperwork and necessary information for customer work orders; check orders for special requests and post inventory records.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping and inventory management.
• Rate domestic transportation bills.
• Trace orders as required and notify customers of activity concerning their order.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Maintain damage records and backorder logs.
• Provide warehouse staff with necessary documents and information to complete receiving and shipping orders.
• Act as liaison between the warehouse and the customer regarding invoicing and credit information.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors (trucking companies, etc.).
• Provide support with other miscellaneous projects, filing and research.
• Compliance with regulations (OPS and external government policies) at all times.
• Escalate problems to Management when necessary.
