Job summary

Four Hands, headquartered in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to keep our shipments on schedule and docs compliant. You will work with the Traffic Lead to optimize freight processes and ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience handling bills of lading and carrier paperwork, strong Excel and WMS skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with shipping documents including bills of lading and carrier paperwork.
  • Strong computer skills with WMS, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication with drivers, carriers and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable in a warehouse setting and willing to work overtime.
  • Steel-toed boots or shoes are required during work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Traffic Lead with day-to-day traffic operations, including SLAs, transit times, carrier scorecards, freight invoices, rate negotiations, and regular reporting.
  • Create and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork (NAFTA Certificates).
  • Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and customer logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain truck schedules, shipment files, and respond to internal customer inquiries regarding shipment status.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Logistics and Operations to ensure transactional accuracy.
  • Provide accurate shipment and export details to Customer Service.
  • Report goals, procedures and responsibilities to shipping and traffic associates.
  • Uphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team.

As a Traffic Coordinator at Four Hands, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Traffic Lead, you'll help ensure on-time shipments, optimize freight processes, and manage shipping documentation. Shift Time: 8AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday

In This Role

  • Support the Traffic Lead with day-to-day traffic operations, including service-level agreements, transit times, carrier scorecards, freight invoices, freight rate negotiations, and regular reporting
  • Create and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork (NAFTA Certificates)
  • Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments with carriers and customer logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain truck schedules, shipment files, and respond to internal customer inquiries regarding shipment status
  • Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Operations to ensure transactional accuracy
  • Provide accurate shipment and export details to Customer Service
  • Report goals, operational procedures, and position responsibilities to shipping and traffic associates

The Ideal Person

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and carrier paperwork
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with drivers, carriers, and internal teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and occasionally walking the floor to verify shipments and loads
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Steel-toed boots or shoes are required during work hours
