Logistics Coordinator - Ocean Export Agent

Job Description
Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Interact with our customers in arranging their international export shipments.
  • Provide outstanding, friendly customer service through daily communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Track and trace shipments as required.
  • Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (steamship lines, trucking companies, and others).
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations, including internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies/requirements.

Qualifications

  • Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position will sit in Moon Township, PA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
  • Understanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plus.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Proficient computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English.
