Job summary

System One is seeking a Logistics Coordinator located in Virginia, Lynchburg. This role is pivotal for coordinating equipment, tooling, materials, and shipping for nuclear outage projects. The candidate will manage a fast-paced, industrial work environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have experience in logistics, inventory tracking, and familiarity with SAP or Maximo systems. Long shifts and travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipment of specialized peening equipment and tooling.
• Track outage materials, hoses, pumps, fixtures, and rigging gear.
• Manage staging and laydown areas inside protected plant areas.
• Support pull-to-pad movement of tools and components.
• Coordinate cranes, forklifts, trucking, and vendor deliveries.
• Handle inventory and serialized nuclear-grade equipment tracking.
• Support outage schedules and work sequencing.
• Prepare shipping, receiving, QA, and contamination-control paperwork.
• Coordinate manpower mobilization, access, and badging.
• Work with outage managers, planners, and field supervisors.
• Support rapid-response logistics for emergent outage issues.

Job description

The logistics position is responsible for coordinating the equipment, tooling, materials, shipping, staging, and field support needed for reactor vessel peening project during nuclear outage.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Coordinating shipment of specialized peening equipment and tooling
• Tracking outage materials, hoses, pumps, fixtures, and rigging gear
• Managing staging and laydown areas inside protected plant areas
• Supporting pull-to-pad movement of tools and components
• Coordinating cranes, forklifts, trucking, and vendor deliveries
• Handling inventory and serialized nuclear-grade equipment tracking
• Supporting outage schedules and work sequencing
• Preparing shipping, receiving, QA, and contamination-control paperwork
• Coordinating manpower mobilization, access, and badging
• Working with outage managers, RP (radiation protection), planners, and field supervisors
• Supporting rapid-response logistics for emergent outage issues
