Job Summary

The Import Documentation Clerk manages inward cargo manifests in MSC USA’s system, ensuring all data is accurate across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manifest shipments in MSC USA systems based on received instructions.
  2. Transmit EDI files to relevant entities per USCBP regulations and internal procedures.
  3. Perform manifest amendments and communicate changes to all parties.
  4. Handle departmental communications for issue resolution.
  5. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in import/export documentation, transportation, or logistics customer service; ocean import documentation experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organized, efficient, and good at managing time.
  • Customer service oriented, focused, and responsive.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and quick to learn new software.
