Job summary

Avocado Green Brands in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Logistics Associate to join the Shipping Team. You will receive and ship packages, inspect inventory, and input data into spreadsheets, coordinating with FedEx and UPS on orders.

THE ROLEAvocado is currently looking for a Logistics Associate to be part of the Shipping Team. This role will report to the Shipping Manager.The Logistics Associate will be responsible for receiving/shipping packages, unpacking and inspecting the packages, maintaining accurate inventory, and inputting data into different spreadsheets and documents. This role will also follow up on orders by contacting carriers such as FedEx and UPS. This candidate will be part of a dynamic, fast-growing team maintaining control of all inventory items produced and purchased.*Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. Depending on the role, you will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations.*Note on Pay Transparency: As of January 1, 2023, California-based roles must provide a pay scale on job postings. The pay range for this role is $17.00- $17.44 Hourly.Responsibilities - This is not an all inclusive list, but minimum requirements Use proper spelling and grammar in all communication to include proper capitalization Regularly communicate and coordinate with customer service, order processing, andmanufacturing teams on inventory and shipping requests Participate in team meetings presenting your workload, data, and direction - online andin person Build reports from data provided through emails, ERP (NetSuite Oracle) and WMS (RF-Smart) Use Onfleet traffic routing or similar dispatch software Extract daily orders from reports utilizing excel Train and learn an ERP and WMS Build orders, reports and run general scanning on WMS Ship international orders and fill out all necessary paperwork Coordinate and develop international shipping - work aspects of international projects Coordinate transportation of LTL shipments ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantity and allother customer requested itemsRespond to questions/inquiries utilizing gmail/slack Coordinate with shipping team and generate pick list for daily shipments Provide all needed paperwork for 3PL operations, and communicate coordinateshipments Utilize 3PL systems in order to: Retrieve quotes, book arrivals, transfer material Conduct costs analysis and present reports Coordinate dock door appointments for our buildings and other locations Lead drayage operations and ocean routing and quoting- calculate pallet costs Count units in support of accurate inventory Move product on the floor using a pallet jack or other material handling equipment Serve as inventory gatekeeper, ensuring the integrity of finished-goods inventory andaccuracy of stock Process cycle counts, identify and work with receiving, shipping, and purchasingdepartments to resolve inventory discrepancies Assist supervisors and managers with ad-hoc requests and tasks Proper professional attire is required in this role as you may be meeting with vendors This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilitiesassociated with the job - other job related duties may be assigned on a permanent basisQualifications Strong MS Word, Excel, and with google drive/suites Excellent communications skills via email and verbal Organized with high attention to detail including single unit counts Proper use of grammar and spelling in email, chat and verbal communication High school diploma at minimum, accurate arithmetic and general math skills Experience with WMS / ERP SystemsThank you very much for your interest in working for Avocado Green Brands.
