Nucor Corporation seeks a Transportation/Logistics Coordinator to manage carrier setup, freight operations, and capacity planning in a fast-paced industrial environment. You will develop carrier relationships, secure capacity, and optimize transportation costs while ensuring accuracy in documentation and system configuration.

The role requires strong communication skills and proficiency with Excel/Word, including flexibility to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

Manages carrier and account setup, including documentation, system configuration, and coordination.
Manages freight operations through Freight Entry Portal and Carrier Pointsystems.
Supports yards and buyers by securing carrier capacity, resolving freight issues, obtaining transportation quotes, and maintaining carrier network visibility and performance.
Assist operations by coordinating vehicle registrations, maintenance scheduling, and ticket corrections.
Manages backhaul operations by coordinating daily carrier capacity and contract fulfillment.
