Job summary

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the Warehouse Runner position. The role involves assisting with housekeeping and safety, receiving and issuing stock, and supporting production and maintenance teams.

• Cover rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel-Hertford County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Warehouse Runner. The successful candidate will be responsible to do the following: assist with area housekeeping and safety efforts; receive, store, inventory and issue parts and consumables from stock for production and maintenance personnel; expedite the plant delivery service; work with computerized systems to perform warehouse functions; perform cycle counts, lead and support safety & continuous improvement projects.While this is a day position, the successful candidate will assist and be responsible for covering rotating shifts and working scheduled and unscheduled overtime.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
