Alsum Farms & Produce in Friesland, WI seeks a full-time Transportation Coordinator to manage daily freight operations, coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, and maintain compliant documentation. You will negotiate rates, track shipments, and collaborate with Buyers and Sales teams to ensure timely product movement.

Ideal candidates have logistics experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with TMS/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in logistics, transportation coordination, dispatching, supply chain, or freight brokerage preferred.
• Experience in produce, agriculture, or refrigerated transportation is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Negotiate freight rates and secure transportation capacity with carriers, brokers, and load boards.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates, delays, and resolutions to customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers, carriers, brokers, and transportation partners.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and issues.
• Collaborate with Buyers and Sales teams to support transportation needs and product movement.
• Utilize TMS, ERP systems, load boards and related tech to manage freight operations and improve efficiency.
• Schedule and coordinate outbound delivery appointments for national customer orders with carriers, warehouses, and customers.
• Ensure shipping documentation (BOLs, insurance certificates, invoices) is accurate and entered into systems.
• Maintain shipping schedules and related documents in spreadsheets/Google Docs.
• Track carrier and driver performance for on-time service and compliance.
• Stay informed on transportation market trends, DOT regulations, and best practices.
• Assist with freight billing support and transportation documentation.
• Support Transport Office and Fleet operations as needed.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
