Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Customs Brokerage Support professional in the United States to help deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring accurate data entry and timely processing of customs files. You will support billing, learn import procedures, and assist with declarations in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, English fluency, and an interest in a career in supply chain and logistics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, understanding, and clear communication.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive and professional communication with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
  • Monitor and track customs files to ensure timely processing and visibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
  • Develop understanding of import customs procedures and apply this knowledge to meet customer requirements.
  • Transfer customs declaration information into the customs entry system to allow for a valid declaration.
  • Support verification, preparation, and submission of customs declarations to authorities.
  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and industry requirements.
  • Hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive and professional communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.

  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Develop a thorough understanding of import customs procedures and apply this knowledge to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration.
  • Support the verification, preparation, and submission of customs declarations to the appropriate customs authorities.
  • Maintain full compliance with all applicable customs regulations, company policies, and industry requirements.
  • Hours Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
