Job summary

Target Freight Management, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily operations for Truckload, LTL, and related customer service tasks.

You will manage shipments from cradle to grave, communicate with customers and carriers, and ensure timely resolution of issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong time management, able to multitask, and capable of handling after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively across customers and carriers.
• Strong problem solving and organization with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer service problems by determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, and expediting correction or adjustment, delivering excellent service throughout process.
• Serve as a point of contact for dedicated customers, assisting with several tasks related to the dedicated client as well as the carriers in their program.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers.
• Serve as a point of escalation for customer and carrier issues.
• Provide after-hours support to carriers, customers, staff, and vendors as necessary.
• Provide continuous follow-up on customer issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Overall daily operations for FTL and LTL customer orders.
• Manage incoming calls and emails, and assist in managing a shipping queue.
• Route shipments cradle to grave for both LTL, FTL, and other modes including building Bills of Lading, labels, load tenders, and following through with each order for the entirety of the shipment lifespan.
• Track and trace shipments across various carrier sites and freight companies.
• Compliance and understanding of various TFM platforms, including our FTL system as well as our TMS.
• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding rates, customers, and other proprietary information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
