Job summary

Schylling, a long-standing toy company based in Lakewood, WA, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm). The role focuses on routing, ASN management, and streamlining shipping and transportation to meet scheduled orders.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a distribution center with customer service, and 1 year in EDI and logistics (domestic/international). High school diploma or GED required, with a strong emphasis on organization and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure routing and label requirements for accountability and consistency
• Manage timely ASN processing
• Streamline shipping and transportation processes
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Communicate order requirements and ship in advance to meet dates
• Know location of customer routing guides and vendor compliance rules
• Maintain shipping files (packing lists, BOLs, freight invoices)
• Monitor inventory for samples and allocate sample orders accurately
• Ensure customer satisfaction with value-added services and seamless warehouse processing
• Foster workflow between Customer Service, Logistics Center, and warehouse
• Report problems or discrepancies to Supervisor
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers, vendors, and transport providers
• Coordinate pickup schedules with transportation carriers and DC
• Provide data for reports and update shipment status daily
• Ability to work in the warehouse as needed

Job Overview:

Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children, and children-at-heart, for over 50 years. Our warehouse operations are in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator on 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm) as our operations continue to grow. The most suitable individual will be able to complete the following:

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that routing and label requirements are being met to provide accountability and consistency.
• Responsible for the timely management of ASNs.
• Help streamline the shipping and transportation processes.
• Communicates with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies/issues related to products, inventory levels, picked orders, or shipments as appropriate and assists where needed to resolve issues.
• Communicate order requirements (labels, packaging, etc.) upon receipt of orders and adequately ship in advance of order ship date to meet scheduled requirements.
• Be familiar with the location and contents of customer routing guides and ensure that the DC is adhering to specific vendor compliance requirements.
• Assist with maintaining shipping files, in both hard and electronic copy, for Truck and LTL shipments which include, but are not limited to packing lists, BOLs, freight invoices, and other shipping documentation.
• Monitor incoming inventory for samples and ensure sample orders are accurately allocated.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with all value-added services and seamless processing of orders to the warehouse for shipping.
• Ensure workflow optimization between Customer Service through the Logistics Center to the warehouse.
• Report any problems or discrepancies with products, inventory, orders, or shipments to Supervisor for appropriate resolution.
• Always provide courteous, professional service to internal and external customers, vendors, and transportation providers.
• Contact transportation carriers and arrange for and communicate the pick-up schedule. Coordinate this schedule with the DC.
• Provide necessary information for reports/ invoices and, update shipment order status and data daily.
• Ability to work in the warehouse as needed

The base hourly range for this position is $23.50 to $25.50. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
