Job summary

The Woodlands, USA-based deugro is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our international Operations team. You will coordinate transport, manage overseas communications, and ensure compliance with TSA, DOT and customs regulations while maintaining accurate documentation and billing.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years freight forwarding experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED; some higher education preferred.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods by Air Cat 3 certification required.
  • Understanding of TAC and IATA rules and regulations.
  • Experience across different time zones and cultures.
  • Computer skills – MS Windows 7, MS Office.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer-focused with attention to needs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with TSA, DOT and US/foreign customs regulations.
  • Prepare and execute freight negotiations with agents and overseas offices.
  • Coordinate transport with warehouses, forwarders and suppliers.
  • Organize inland and airfreight shipments.
  • Manage communication with overseas partners.
  • Train and onboard new colleagues.
  • Check and approve incoming invoices; create billing invoices.
  • Prepare outgoing invoices and shipping documents.
  • Track and trace freight to destination.
  • Check shipping orders and dispatch processing.
  • Inform customers of prices, shipping dates and delays.
  • Document and archive all project-related materials.

Logistics Coordinator

Location: The Woodlands (Houston), USA

Become a part of our international Operations team at one of our locations in The Woodlands (Houston), USA . For the next possible date we are looking for you in fulltime (40h/week) as Logistics Coordinator

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Compliance with all TSA, DOT and Customs regulations (US and Foreign)
  • Preparation and execution of freight negotiations with agents, dispatchers, deugro overseas offices, etc.
  • Coordination of transport processes with warehouses, forwarders and suppliers
  • Organisation of inland and airfreight shipments
  • Taking over the entire communication with overseas
  • Carrying out continuous training and familiarisation of new colleagues or team members
  • Checking and approving incoming invoices, creation of billing invoices
  • Preparation of outgoing invoices and shipping documents of all kinds
  • Tracking and tracing of freight to destination
  • Checking of shipping orders
  • General dispatch processing incl. customer service
  • Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer
  • Ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of all projects and related matters incl. filing and archiving of all important documents
What you can contribute:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Freight Forwarding experience required
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), some higher education preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Passing the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air, Excluding Radioactive Cat 3 will be required in order to remain in this position
  • Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations
  • Experience in working in different time zones and different cultures
  • Computer skills – MS Windows 7, MS Office
  • Positive attitude and problem solving ability in a fast paced working environment
  • Multitasking Skills – Able to handle various assignments in daily coordination with overseas offices
  • Creative thinking and open to new ideas
  • Excellent communication – Verbal & Written
  • Focus – Pay attention to the customer’s needs and commit to exceeding them
