Job summary

Target Freight Management is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily operations for a dedicated customer, coordinating Truckload and LTL shipments, and serving as the main point of contact by phone, email, and in person.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with excellent time management, able to multi-task, and capable of building strong relationships with customers and carriers while navigating our TFM platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience.
• Excellent phone and email communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work after hours.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day operations for a dedicated customer.
• Manage daily operations for FTL and LTL customer orders.
• Route shipments cradle to grave for LTL, FTL, and other modes including building Bills of Lading, labels, load tenders, and following through with each order for the entirety of the shipment lifespan.
• Track and trace shipments across various carrier sites and freight companies.
• Compliance and understanding of various TFM platforms, including our FTL system as well as our TMS.
• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding rates, customers, and other proprietary information.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the VP of Client Relations, the Logistics Coordinator will handle the day-to-day operations of a dedicated customer. This individual will manage daily operations within Truckload, LTL and other customer service duties. This role calls for a strong communicator and multi-tasker who is adaptable, resilient, and eager to tackle unfamiliar problems. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational skills, and communicates effectively by phone, email, and in person with staff, customers, and carriers.

Responsibilities

Customer & Carrier Relations

• Resolve customer service problems by determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, and expediting correction or adjustment, delivering excellent service throughout process
• Serve as a point of contact for dedicated customers, assisting with several tasks related to the dedicated client as well as the carriers in their program
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers
• Serve as a point of escalation for customer and carrier issues
• Provide after-hours support to carriers, customers, staff, and vendors as necessary
• Provide continuous follow-up on customer issues to ensure timely resolution

Operations

• Overall daily operations for FTL and LTL customer orders
• Manage incoming calls and emails, and assist in managing a shipping queue
• Route shipments cradle to grave for both LTL, FTL, and other modes including building Bills of Lading, labels, load tenders, and following through with each order for the entirety of the shipment lifespan
• Track and trace shipments across various carrier sites and freight companies
• Compliance and understanding of various TFM platforms, including our FTL system as well as our TMS

File and resolve claims

• Maintain documentation to ensure compliance standards are met
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding rates, customers, and other proprietary information

Qualifications

Working knowledge of LTL, Full Truckload, Intermodal, and Rail transportation modes

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED, bachelor’s preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience required
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of both customer and carrier’s organizations
• Problem solving and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Highly motivated with an ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
• Must have excellent phone and email communication skills and ability to multitask and assist clients after hours.
• Solid understanding of MS Office, Windows, and basic business software

Logistics Coordinator Range: $45,000 - $55,000
