Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Logistics Coordinator to manage order entry, coordinate transportation, dispatch shipments, and ensure clear communication between customers, drivers, and internal teams.

The role requires at least 1 year in logistics, general knowledge of the transportation industry, and strong communication skills. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, $20.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401K plan.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer profile information and enter shipment details from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system.
• Communicate load issues to account managers, including actions taken to resolve problems.
• Provide shipment status updates to customers and receivers.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries to ensure shipments arrive on time and in good condition.
• Conduct driver check calls and verify load information before marking shipments as delivered for accounting purposes.
• Investigate shipment overages, shortages, or damages and complete all required documentation.
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments as needed.
• Accept or decline loads based on guidance from account managers.
• Provide drivers with detailed routing instructions and delivery information.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Required:

• Experience preparing routine reports and professional correspondence.

• Strong ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay Details:

$20.00 per hour
