Job summary

Leeco Steel is seeking a Shipping and Receiving specialist in Indiana to coordinate and optimize outbound shipments. You will work with transportation providers to meet customer due dates, review orders, and maintain accurate shipping documents.

The role requires English literacy, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, with benefits including health coverage and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Logistics related field.
• Knowledge using computers and other common office equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate freight rates with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Monitor all outbound shipments to ensure orders are in transit as scheduled.
• Communicate any issues, delays, or budget restraints with our sales team.
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare Bill of Ladings and send finalized shipping documents to billing.
• Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
• Enter receivers/manifests of material from steel mills via Rail or Truck.
• Manage a shipping schedule to accurately show sales/billing daily shipments.
• Read and understand material certifications.
• Manage and ensure traffic flow through the warehouse is working.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform duties to arrange and coordinate the shipping of product to customers in accordance with planned shipping schedules and in a cost-effective manner.
