Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in the United States seeks a Logistics Coordinator to determine truck/trailer needs, schedule deliveries, and maintain superior customer service. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to form and ship orders efficiently.

The role requires knowledge of trucking operations, DOT regulations, and Excel/PowerPoint proficiency. Join a team focused on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in transportation preferred (brokerage, dispatching, or management in trucking).
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Export experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask responsibilities daily.
  • Excellent follow-up and communication skills.
  • Strong research and investigation abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fluid transportation circumstances.
  • Team player able to work with others across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Determine correct truck and trailer to service customers.
  • Schedule deliveries and communicate with drivers while maintaining service quality.
  • Maintain strong customer service orientation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Organize components to form single shipments.
  • Book shipments with ocean carriers.
  • Navigate shipping issues and find timely resolutions.
  • Keep yards updated with changes to schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
