Job summary

CMC is seeking a transportation-focused professional to support scheduling, dispatch, and customer service within our shipping operations. You will coordinate deliveries, manage driver communications, and organize shipments for timely, accurate fulfillment.

The role emphasizes multitasking, strong communication, and teamwork in a dynamic logistics environment, with opportunities for training and advancement at CMC.

Qualifications

Two years of transportation experience preferred.
DOT Manual compliance and regulations knowledge.
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize and multitask responsibilities daily.
Excellent follow up skills.
Excellent research and investigation skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to fluid transportation circumstances.
Ability to act as a team player and work closely with others.

Responsibilities

Determine correct truck and trailer to service customers.
Delivery scheduling and communicating with drivers while maintaining excellent customer service.
Must be customer service driven.
Regularly communicate, interact and coordinate with internal and external customers.
Organize various components to form single shipment.
Book shipments with ocean carriers.
Navigate challenging shipping issues that regularly occur.
Keep yards updated with schedule changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Education

High School Diploma or GED required
