Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Arrange domestic sales and shipments for Granules North America.
  • Collaborate with Operations, warehouse, vendors, 3PL, and carriers to ensure efficient processes.
  • Review order lead times and request MABD extensions as needed.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and monitor deliveries for on-time arrival.
  • Process deliveries in SAP.
  • Book shipments on TMS and select best cost/service carriers.
  • Coordinate deliveries with customers, warehouses, and carriers and share packing lists, BOLs, and required documents.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, shippers, receivers, and Granules team members or carriers.
  • Maintain service quality in compliance with Granules standards.
  • Develop processes to improve supply-chain workflow and organization.
  • Review warehouse documentation for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Monitor customer on-time delivery based on MABD.
  • Monitor carrier performance to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Compile proof of delivery and validate quantities.
  • Maintain Kaizen reports to track performance and flag issues.
  • Invoice sales orders once shipments are complete.
  • Investigate lost/late shipments and file carrier claims.
  • Resolve non-approved vendor invoices in TMS, escalate to carriers.
  • Report carrier performance issues or rate changes to the logistics manager.
  • Generate general carrier performance reports.
  • Reconcile sales at month-end to ensure accurate invoicing.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Arrange domestic sales and non‑sales shipments for Granules North America.
  • Collaborate with Operations & Supply Chain, the warehouse team, vendors, 3PL warehouse, and carriers for efficient processes.
  • Review order lead times and request Must Arrive By Date (MABD) extensions as needed.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and monitor deliveries to ensure on‑time arrival.
  • Process deliveries in SAP.
  • Book shipments on TMS, selecting the best cost and service carrier.
  • Coordinate deliveries with customers, warehouses, and carriers and share packing lists, BOLs, and required documents.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, shippers, receivers, and Granules team members or carriers.
  • Maintain service quality in compliance with Granules standards.
  • Develop processes to improve supply‑chain workflow and organization.
  • Review warehouse documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Monitor customer on‑time delivery based on MABD.
  • Monitor carrier performance to ensure shipments are handled properly and delivered on time.
  • Compile proof of delivery (POD) and validate quantities against shipped amounts, ensuring no shortages, overages, or damage.
  • Maintain Kaizen reports to track customer and carrier performance and flag recurring issues for corrective action.
  • Invoice sales orders once shipments are complete.
  • Investigate lost or late shipments and file claims with carriers.
  • Resolve non‑approved vendor invoices in TMS, escalating to carriers as needed.
  • Report carrier performance issues or rate changes to the logistics manager.
  • Generate general reports of carrier performance.
  • Reconcile sales at month‑end to ensure accurate invoicing and freight billing.
Other Responsibilities

Reports to: Sr. Director of Supply Chain

Preferred Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time‑management, prioritization, and deadline‑meeting abilities.
  • Strong problem‑solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Knowledge of the consumer goods industry preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (optional).
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with an MRP system such as SAP is preferred.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field OR
  • Three or more years of experience in logistics.
  • Logistics certificates welcomed.
  • Preferably familiar with cGMP requirements and experience in the pharma sector.
