Job summary

Granules Consumer Health LLC, located in Manassas, VA, seeks a Packaging Supervisor/Manager (2nd shift) to lead day-to-day packaging operations, supervise staff, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance in a GMP environment.

You will plan, schedule, and oversee all packaging activities, manage ERP data entries, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, pharmacy, or related degree.
• 8–10 years of packaging supervisory/management experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Bottle packaging line experience in pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

The Packaging Supervisor/Manager (2nd shift) is responsible for day‑to‑day packaging operations at Granules Consumer Health. The individual supervises, motivates, and supports the staff daily, applying a team approach and maintaining open communication. The Packaging Supervisor/Manager also plans, schedules, strategizes, and oversees all packaging activities while continually building quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Executing the packaging planning based on marketing requirements, manpower, and equipment capacity to ensure product quality meets specifications.
• Supervising a team in packaging, training them on SOPs, cGMP, investigations, CAPAs, protocols and handling quality issues with respect to the packaging department.
• Maintaining a GMP compliant work area and ensuring production of high‑quality products while meeting FDA, OSHA, and company manufacturing requirements.
• Utilizing available resources efficiently to produce products that meet or exceed product requirements for cost, quality, and delivery.
• Managing packaging‑related business tools (ERP) and ensuring appropriate date entries.
• Executing packaging exhibit, characterization, and validation batches, and cleaning verification/validation of packaging equipment.
• Monitoring packaging‑related change controls, deviations, investigations, and implementing CAPAs for timely completion and action items.
• Enforcing all safety procedures and SOPs.
• Reporting to departmental head about ongoing measurement, progress, issues, corrective action status, and planned projects.
• Performing other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, pharmacy, or related degree.
• 8–10 years of packaging supervisory/management experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
• Must have bottle packaging line experience within a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong writing, leadership, organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of computer programs.
• Time management and planning skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate people and handle difficult situations, with good awareness of current employment relation laws.
