Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field or 3+ years of experience in logistics.
  • Logistics certificates welcomed and helpful.
  • Familiar with cGMP requirements and pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and monitor lead times.
  • Schedule shipments in SAP and book with cost-effective carriers.
  • Coordinate with customers, warehouses and carriers; share packing lists and BOL.
  • Monitor on-time delivery and carrier performance; address issues.
  • Reconcile deliveries and verify documentation; resolve discrepancies.

Granules Consumer Health, LLC is located in Manassas, Virginia. We have over 106 employees and annual revenue of $76.64 million. We serve as Granules’ packaging facility and front-end division for private label over the counter (OTC) products in the US. We offer OTC generics that meet the highest level of quality at an affordable cost. Principal Accountabilities
  • Logistics Coordinator will be primarily responsible for arranging domestics sales and no sales shipments for Granules North America
  • Collaborate with Operation & Supply Chain, Warehouse team, vendors 3PL warehouse and carriers for efficient process.
  • Review Orders Leadtime and request Must Arrive By Date extension as needed to meet order process and transit lead time for on time delivery
  • Handles the entire delivery process of products by scheduling both inbound and outbound shipments and constantly monitoring deliveries to make sure each product arrives on time
  • Process deliveries on ERP system (SAP)
  • Arrange for inbound and outbound shipments as requested by Granules North America Team
  • Request appointment from shipper and receivers.
  • Book shipments on Transportation Management System (TMS), using best cost and service carrier.
  • Coordinate deliveries with customers, warehouses, and carriers and share Packing Lists, BOL and any other required documents per shipment.
  • Responding to inquiries from Customers, Shippers, Receivers, Granules team members &/or Carriers.
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards of Granules
  • Developing processes to improve Supply Chain workflow and be more efficient and organized
  • Review of warehouses documentation for Inbound and outbound shipments
  • Monitor Customers’ On Time Delivery based on Customers Must Arrive By Date (MABD)
  • Monitor Carriers’ Performance to ensure shipments are handled in the required manner and delivered on time to customers
  • Compile Proof of Delivery (POD) to customers and validate qty delivered are same as shipped without any shortage, Overage or Damage.
  • Maintain Kaizen reports to track customers & Carriers performance and flag any recurring issues to address and change order processes to prevent issues from recurring
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
  • Invoice sales orders once shipped.
  • Investigate lost shipments or late deliveries
  • File claim with carrier for lost or damaged shipments.
  • Resolve non approved vendor invoices on the TMS, elevate and discuss with carrier as needed.
  • Monitor carrier performance and notify Logistics Manager with performance issues or increased rates other than what’s on the agreement.
  • General reports of carrier’s performance
  • Reconcile sales at the end of the month to ensure all sales orders were invoices and freight was billed accurately.

  • Good working knowledge of the consumer goods industry preferred.
  • Experience working in Pharmaceutical Industry (Optional).
  • Good computer skills especially working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with any MRP system such as SAP is preferred.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field OR
  • 3 + years of experience working in the logistics field.
  • Logistics Certificates are welcomed.
  • Preferably familiar with cGMP requirements & worked in the Pharma industry.
