Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join the team in Houston, TX, supporting NASA-related programs and cross-site shipments. The role focuses on coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring material flow aligns with production schedules.
The candidate should have at least 3 years of deployment/logistics coordination experience, strong knowledge of supply systems, and the ability to deal with non-conforming material.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator tto join the team with GCS, a teammate company!
Coordinate with different locations and people to process shipments through the approved flows.
Perform duties in order to expedite the flow of material and parts.
Ensures supplies and inventory are ordered, received, replenished, and kept at appropriate levels. Participates in new and standard part number creation.
Monitors inventory levels to ensure consistency with forecasted demand and inventory goals for common stock items.
Participates in the disposition of non-conforming material.
Arranges for reservation and transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience as a Deployment/Logistics Coordinator or an Administrative Assistant
Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
Bachelor’s degree or business school training

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
