Position Summary
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, the Supply Chain Operations Coordinator serves as a key operational resource supporting the warehouse, scheduling and shipping functions. This position is responsible for maintaining operational reporting, coordinating daily activities, supporting inventory and scheduling processes, and facilitating communication between departments to ensure efficient execution of plant objectives.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes operational execution, problem solving, and cross-functional communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Support daily warehouse and scheduling operations to ensure customer and production requirements are achieved.
- Update and distribute daily dock, warehouse, and scheduling reports.
- Maintain operational KPI reports and productivity metrics.
- Assist with daily loading dock audits and operational reviews.
- Monitor warehouse capacity, inventory movement, and storage utilization.
- Support physical inventory activities and cycle count processes as needed.
- Assist with maintaining warehouse slotting and material flow plans.
- Oversee and coordinate quarterly physical inventory
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as a communication link between scheduling, warehouse, receiving, and shipping teams.
- Coordinate with supervisors and leadership to address operational issues and priorities.
- Communicate schedule changes, inventory concerns, and capacity constraints to appropriate departments.
- Escalate operational issues that may impact customer service, production, or shipping performance.
- Participate in daily operational meetings and provide status updates.
Reporting and Metrics
- Maintain and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports.
- Update productivity reports, warehouse metrics, and operational dashboards.
- Assist leadership teams with data collection and reporting needs.
- Support performance tracking related to shipping, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and scheduling activities.
- Identify operational trends and communicate findings to department leadership.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Assist in identifying operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Support implementation of process improvements within warehouse and scheduling operations.
- Participate in improvement initiatives led by department leadership.
- Recommend practical solutions that improve communication, workflow, and operational efficiency.
Team Support
- Provide backup support for scheduling, warehouse, and supply chain functions as needed.
- Assist supervisors and managers with special projects and operational initiatives.
- Foster positive working relationships across all supply chain departments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or additional supply chain coursework preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse operations, scheduling, or supply chain operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience working with warehouse, inventory, scheduling, or shipping operations preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and operational reporting is a plus.

- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and levels of leadership.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to identify issues and help coordinate solutions.
- Comfortable working in both office and production environments.
