Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in California to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, verify docs, and maintain accurate records. You will support daily warehouse operations, ensure on-time delivery, and communicate with internal teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and organized, with strong judgment and problem-solving skills to maintain quality and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate.
• Minimum of one year of customer service, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends.
• Intermediate proficiency in PLEX and SAP.
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the logging, routing, shipping, and tracking of inbound/outbound orders and materials.
• Verify orders in the shipping box against reports; print missing docs as needed.
• Review system order processing; print product allocations for the Shipping Manager.
• Record special instructions on orders and ensure labels are documented.
• Dispatch trucks and communicate information to drivers.
• Update product locations for inter-company transfers.
• Complete paperwork for shipped orders and process shipments in system.
• Prepare and verify shipping docs including Bill of Lading, customs, packing lists.
• Coordinate product movement and paperwork flow between divisions.
• Provide support to the traffic/transportation function as needed.
• Assign work to forklift operators and operate forklift when required.
• Follow safety, GMP, and food safety rules; comply with quality requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
