Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) seeks a Distribution Manager to lead the distribution and shipping/receiving functions, focusing on inventory control, customer service, and food safety. The role collaborates with USDA, Quality Assurance, and Plant Operations to ensure on-time, within-budget distribution programs.

The candidate will manage labor costs, optimize material flow, and develop high-performance teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, distribution, business administration or related field.
Minimum five years’ experience in warehouse operations, transportation management and/or supply chain management.
Good working knowledge of distribution operations, logistics, information systems, customer service, transportation, inventory management.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory and reporting systems for finished products, raw materials, packaging and ingredients.
Process orders for shipments to meet customer requirements and service targets.
Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with safety standards (forklifts, order pickers, floor maintenance, fall protection).
Develop relationships with Plant Operations, Corporate Supply Chain, Transportation, Sales and customers to promote service quality.
Manage labor costs to meet budget and service levels.
Eliminate wasteful practices within distribution, scheduling, and shipping/receiving.
